Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup mushrooms, quartered or halved
  • 3-5 lb chuck roast
  • 1 bottle BRIANNAS Classic Steak Marinade
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • ¾ cup water
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and chopped into 1-inch pieces

Directions:

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet. Sear and brown roast on all sides, 2-3 minutes per side.
  2. Place roast in slow cooker. Add prepared vegetables on top of the roast.
  3. Add one cup BRIANNAS Classic Steak Marinade and cook on low, 7-8 hours.
  4. After 6 hours, using the pan in which the roast was browned, add flour, water, and the remaining BRIANNAS Classic Steak Marinade.
  5. Bring to medium heat, and whisking until the mixture reaches the consistency of a thin gravy.
  6. Pour gravy mixture over roast and vegetables and continue cooking 1-2 hours more.
  7. Serve over mashed potatoes or polenta and enjoy!
